Friday, Jan.18: Catheter (port) implanted. I'm told it's quite a concoction; with 3 protruding tubes...
And if that's not fun enough for one day, I also start my self injections of Neupogen. Twice today.
Sat, Jan 19-Sun, Jan 20: Continue twice a day injections
Thanks to my sister Linda for this lovely image : )
Mon, Jan 21 to Wed, Jan 23: Report at 8am each day to Jean's for harvest of stem cells
Then I have (hopefully) a nice break until I get admitted on:
Mon, Jan 28
The week that follows is a week of heavy duty chemo: Cytoxan, Etoposide and Cisplatin every day for four days, then two days of rest (ha) and finally transplant day: Monday, Feb 4. to be known as DAY ZERO This week and the two that follow is when I will be extra and especially appreciative of good vibes, loving thoughts and PRAYER. I will also be appreciative of modern medicine and any drugs that will help at this time, but the power of love and prayer are awesome.
I am trying out the Marinol (dronabinal) for nausea today, hoping it works better than the other drugs that either failed or just barely kept me from throwing up but didn't help with the strong nausea feeling. Keeping my fingers crossed.
So I'm just trying to take a day at a time her. Putting the calendar away and keeping positive!
Happy New Year! Peace, Liz
